Make me go in the path of Your commandments, for in them do I delight.
Psalm 119:35 Go to sleep at night with a plan in mind for the next day. Don’t be vague about what you hope to accomplish. God’s Word is a lamp to your feet, and a light to your path [Ps. 119:105]. Talk to Him before you even get out of bed. Get up with a plan that puts God first in all you do.

He who has no rule over his own spirit is like a city that is broken down and without walls.—Proverbs 25:28
God wants us to develop self-control. It is a “fruit of the Spirit” that develops as we spend time fellowshipping with God and practicing obedience to Him. Sometimes we would rather that God make us do the right thing, but He wants us to rule over our spirit. It takes self-control not to get offended or become angry someone doesn’t do things our way.

Do you see a man diligent and skillful in his business: He will stand before kings; he will not stand before obscure men.—Proverbs 22:29
Don’t be lazy. Laziness allows everything in our lives to get overgrown or broken down. If you put your trust in God, He can turn your mess into your message. Get rid of procrastination and do what God is tells you.

Happy is the man who finds skillful and godly Wisdom, and the man who gets understanding, for the gaining of it is better than the gaining of silver, and the profit of it better than fine gold.—Proverbs 3:13-14
Only mature Christians enjoy the meat of God’s Word, and He has much to share with His grown-up sons and daughters. There will always be more to learn, so don’t make excuses for your weak points. Accepting the truth will set you free [John 8:32] and God will give you strength to overcome in those areas in which you are weak. [see Proverbs 3:12]

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such things there is no law.”—Galations 5:22-23
People crave love, happiness, and peace. They try to buy them and pay therapists to help them find them. Living a Spirit-filled life will produce these things in you. Also see Galations 5:25

But we do desire for each of you to show the same diligence and sincerity in realizing and enjoying the full assurance and development of hope until the end.—Hebrews 6:11
Never give up on anything God has told you to believe for; never quit doing anything He has clearly shown you to do. Your diligence will pay off with a blessing from God.

Jesus said to them, My food is to do the will of Him Who sent Me and to accomplish and completely finish His work.—John 4:34
God wants us to grow roots and learn to endure until the fruit of His promise is manifested. Be patient to see God’s plan take place in your life. If you don’t have a vision, ask God to show you something that you need to do, and then commit your work to the Lord until it is completed.
